About BBG U

Our former “Education Committee” is now called the BBG U Committee. BBG University – or BBG U for short – is our initiative to develop useful business seminars on topics of interest to our members. These will be offered for FREE as a BBG membership benefit at our monthly meetings to help you sharpen your business skills and kern about new approaches and technologies. Watch for topic announcements in the e-News. And please email Diane if you have an idea for a topic, could teach a BBG U course, or are interested in getting involved in the committee.

Thank You BBG for Supporting Dragon Boat 2014

From BBG Member End Hunger Calvert:

Dragon Boat 2014 cleared over $60,000 after expenses – all of which is going to help the needy in our county. Much of those funds will be used to support FoodStock 2014 – Aug 9th at the End Hunger Warehouse – we will distribute approx. 90,000 lbs of food in about three hours. Dragon Boat 2014 had over 3,000 spectators. Our success remains in great part due to the early and continued enthusiastic support of BBG. You bless our county.

Save the date for Sat. June 20, 2015!

BBG Welcome Bags

The BBG is beginning to put together Welcome Bags (or boxes, depending on how much we get) for new homeowners in our area.  There is no cost to participate for BBG members other than whatever you would like to place in the bag.  BBG Member Rodney Githens will collect all the material and then delivery the Bags to local real estate agents.

If you would to participate, please contact Rodney at 301-327-5284 or email at rodney@githensandassociates.com.  Also, this is a great recruiting opportunity for the BBG, so please ask other business owners that are not BBG members if they would like to join and participate in this as well.  Finally, ask all the real estate agents and agencies you know if they are willing to accept and give out the BBG Welcome Bags to their clients.  All they need to do is contact Rodney.

Rodney’s goal is to get this started in the next two weeks.  Let him know in the next couple of days if you would like to participate, and then he will contact everyone when we’re ready to start collecting material for the BBG Welcome Bags.
