The Bay Business Group (BBG) is a dynamic non-profit organization representing locally-owned small businesses on Maryland’s western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. As a small, local business owner, membership in the BBG is one of the most valuable investments you can make. For only $150 a year, the BBG provides:
Monthly Member Meetings: Get the facts so you know what’s really going on in Calvert and Anne Arundel Counties. What you learn will be invaluable to your business. View upcoming meetings.
Educational Seminars: The BBG offers valuable learning opportunities because we know you want to grow your business and stretch your mind. No extra fees – these seminars are included in your BBG membership, and we can often provide replays to members online.
Networking Opportunities: The BBG offers many mixers throughout the year where you can meet new customers, get qualified leads, and form alliances and friendships with other local business owners. Our annual BBG Christmas Party is also free to all members as well.
Promote Your Business: Many free and low-cost advertising options are available to BBG members through our extensive e-mail lists, web sites, events, and member alliances. Sign up for the BBG e-News.
Buy Local: Put your business in front of potential customers through your listing in our BBG Member Directory. In addition, BBG Member-to-Member discounts and Bay Business Group Bargains (BBGBs) help you gain new customers.
Opportunities to Give & Receive: No other business group in our area does as much for our members and our communities as the BBG!
- The BBG supports economic development, tourism and local events; one past project is the Beach Trolley, which carried thousands of riders over a matter of years, a Heritage Tour with an informative, historical map, and tours to “get acquainted” with our area. For more information, contact us.
- The BBG Scholarship Fund gives thousands in college scholarships to support local high school students pursuing careers in business.
- The BBG supports so many local groups. We also host an annual Christmas parade to showcase member businesses and promote local economic development and local shopping.
- The Pat Giardina Carpenter Women in Business Fund will begin offering micro-grants in 2013.
